Since the Northern Lights are influenced by factors like weather and solar activity, our itineraries are flexible, allowing guides to adjust plans to optimize your experience.
Travel in comfort and safety with our 4x4 buses, specially equipped for Icelandic winter conditions, including studded tires and independent heaters that keep the vehicle warm even when the engine is off.
During the outdoor viewing sessions, we provide cozy blankets, hot drinks, and snacks to keep you comfortable. It is important to be dressed for cold conditions.

Pickup time is between 20.30 and 21:00.
We pick up at bus stops, hotels and guesthouses in the Reykjavík Capital area.
What to wear in Northern Lights Tour
Base Layer: Thermal underwear to stay warm and dry.
Insulation: Fleece or down jacket to trap heat.
Outer Layer: Waterproof and windproof jacket and pants for weather protection.
Accessories: Warm gloves or mittens, a hat covering your ears, a scarf or gaiter, and optional hand/foot warmers.
Footwear: Thick wool socks and insulated, waterproof boots with good traction for icy terrain.
Best conditions to see the Northern Lights
Location: Areas away from light pollution with clear.
Weather: Clear, cloudless skies. Our guides carefully analyze cloud forecasts to select optimal locations.
Timing: Dark hours between mid-August and end of April
Activity: Stronger displays occur during higher solar activity. Our guides monitor solar forecasts to maximize your chances of witnessing the lights.
If we don’t See the Northern Lights?
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. We carefully choose locations with the best possible conditions, but sometimes nature doesn’t cooperate.
If no lights are seen, you can rebook for another attempt.
If we cancel the tour due to poor conditions, you can rebook or receive a full refund.
